"An Army officer has recommended that four U.S. soldiers accused of murdering Iraqi detainees should face the death penalty if convicted, the BBC reports. I'm not sure how I feel about this. Even if they are guilty of murder, I don't think any of our soldiers should face such harsh punishment until their leaders are held to the same standards. George W. Bush is more deserving of execution than any soldier-turned-murderer in this senseless and hopeless war steeped in the propaganda of hate. And it continues to disturb me that our own Ministry of Truth is so selective in its reporting."


But we know that the pols are wealthy. They are immune.
